Portfolio 1

Below is the list of companies in Portfolio 1 as of June 30, 2026, along with charts showing diversification by sector and market capitalization.

Portfolio 1 is built around a concentrated exposure to large-cap technology leaders, with seven of the top ten holdings in the sector. Nvidia is the largest position at roughly 25% of the portfolio, highlighting just how dominant a few large tech names continue to be in the overall mix. In total, technology makes up just over 30% of the portfolio, with the remainder spread across eight of the eleven sectors.

There are a couple of sector gaps, with no direct exposure to Healthcare or Utilities. Basic Materials is also not held through individual stocks, but exposure is partially covered through a gold ETF, which provides indirect diversification into that space.

From a size perspective, the portfolio is dominated by large-cap companies, which generally helps reduce volatility compared to smaller companies. However, as markets have shown in the past, even large-cap technology stocks can experience sharp swings, so that stability is not always consistent in practice.

During the second quarter, I added to Kraken Robotics after the stock pulled back from recent highs. The position had already performed strongly since my initial purchase, with the share price more than doubling over the past year. Rather than treating the pullback as a signal of weakness, I viewed it as an opportunity to increase exposure to a company whose longer-term trajectory looks good.

Activity during the second quarter of 2026:

Bought: more shares of Kraken Robotics

Portfolio 1

Below is the list of the Portfolio 1 companies. Some you will recognize some you won't. Either way, I've included the company name, its trading symbol (also known as ticker), the currency used to purchase the shares, the gain or loss in share price since the shares were purchased* (the average, in the case of multiple purchases), the total return (the gain or loss from the shares, plus any dividends) and the stock exchange it was purchased on. I have also shown what the company does, and why it was purchased (including how I categorize the company). In cases where a company's total return is greater than the gain or loss in share price, that is because the company pays a dividend.

Stocks traded on Canadian exchanges have the exchanges listed in red. Stocks traded on American exchanges have the exchanges listed in blue.
