Portfolio 3

Below you will find information on the companies in Portfolio 3, as of December 31, 2025.

This page includes sections on portfolio diversification, performance, and what the companies do and why they are in the portfolio.

Portfolio 3 owns companies in eight of the eleven sectors. It remains heavily concentrated in the Technology and Financials sectors. As well as owning companies in six other sectors, Portfolio 3 owns an index fund that tracks the largest 500 publicly traded US companies by market capitalization to provide diversification and lessen the volatility. However, many of the largest American companies are technology companies making this a technology heavy portfolio, with Nvidia and Shopify accounting for over 50% of the portfolio between the two of them. This last quarter I sold off two underperforming technology companies, added to two existing positions and added 2 solid dividend paying companies to add stability and diversification.

Performance

Below is the list of the Portfolio 3 companies. Some you will recognize some you won't. Either way, I've included the company name, its trading symbol (also known as ticker), the currency used to purchase the shares, the gain or loss in share price since the shares were purchased (the average, in the case of multiple purchases), the total return (the gain or loss from the shares, plus any dividends) and the stock exchange it was purchased on. I have also shown what the company does, and why it was purchased (including how I categorize the company). In cases where a company's total return is greater than the gain or loss in share price, that is because the company pays a dividend.

Stocks traded on Canadian exchanges have the exchanges listed in red. Stocks traded on American exchanges have the exchanges listed in blue.
